I’m working on a novel and wondered if anyone here enjoys reading fiction and might want to be involved as an early reader.
It’s about a woman in midlife who becomes convinced a missing movie star is in the house next door and decides to rescue her. The tone is darkly comic — very much a story about women behaving badly. The tone is a little like “Where’d You Go Bernadette,” “The Guest,” “All Fours,” or “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”
I’m at the stage where I need a few thoughtful, honest readers (preferably mid-life women who enjoy reading upmarket fiction). At this point, I would appreciate 2-3 people giving the opening of the book a quick once over(maybe about an hour of reading) to see if the voice and character resonates.
