Day 10 Slynd & still bleeding

After many years of being stubborn (or how I prefer to explain….frozen and unsure of what treatment to try, been offered all the hormones, hyster, lap, etc), I opted to try Slynd before doing something more invasive.

I’m on Day 10 of bleeding….. the first few days were like a normal period, now it’s been a steady light flow…. Is this side effect going to stick around? I’ve read of women who bleed for months. And I’m just not sure if it’s worth it…. Feeling defeated….. 😔

Algae help (cover? Stairs)

My pool is quite clear with the exception of this type of algae. We had it before, shocked, etc, and it came back. I feel like every time we cover it and don’t swim for a few days, it creeps back. I read if it’s mustard algae we have to sanitize all toys? Floaties? Is that correct, if so, what is everyone’s process for that, hot soapy water? I’m not used to having issues like this and I’m blaming the cover or the stairs….. it’s an above ground pool so difficult to clean or even see under the stairs, are we missing hidden algae that we can’t brush away?

Mini Aussie - Born Feb 3, 2022

This may be a long shot….but we are having health issues with our mini Aussie and trying to connect with parents/litter mates to help clarify diagnosis or maybe a genetic inheritance. We are simply looking for that, nothing else, we want to help our boy. As we all know an MRI and trip to Sask will cost thousands, and if it is a suspected neuro disease the inherited one is not treatable so that MRI cost becomes redundant. Our boy was born Feb 3, 2022, adopted in April 2022. We got him from a home in St. Clements, MB, but he was from Winkler. Any litter mates out there?

this is NOT a sale, trying to connect with owners

NAD - confirmation/treatment

Hi all,

My dog is presenting with neurological symptoms. He has always been a clumsy boy, he’ll walk through a room with no awareness of toys or things on floor. We’re always just giggled and accepted that’s the way he is. He has never been able to catch treats if tossed gently despite all training efforts. He also taps his front paws up and down (not all the time, usually when excited). His back end has gotten weaker with time, he is slow to stand up. He is typically more sore after rest. He still enjoys running and playing with his big frother. He also has healthy eating, drinking and potty habits. His joints over all are stiff after an assessment, and he showed slow response on some neuro testing.

I’m curious if confirming what this is will be worth the $2500-$3000 that proper testing will take (I’d have to go out of province). If it is NAD or a degenerative condition, how with a confirmed diagnosis help him? I also am curious if genetic testing can be done to confirm this so that the expensive MRI may not be necessary. If the genetic testing for NAD is positive, we’d maybe have a better idea of next steps. I’m trying to avoid Dr. Google/Chat so would love any feedback to help prepare me for what comes next.

He is a minsture Australian Sheppard, age 4.5. Presented with symptoms early on, age 1-2ish, and has slowed down in the hind leg/hip area (more so the right side) over the past 3ish months. He seems weaker on the right hip/knee. He also has a localized pain spot on his spine.

Thanks in advance.

Imaging report frustration

The pain I get never feels reflected in my reports…..
uterus is is SLIGHTLY heterogenous
Uterus is retroverted
Several small myometrial cysts
Combined endometrial thickeners is 9mm
Several small endometrial cysts (questionable for clinical significance)
Ovaries are unremarkable **
Mild uterine adenomyosis possible

Where I live we have pocket health and I can see my imaging and even shows the measurements for each ovary. One of my ovaries was 15mL in volume - which is the same side I went to hospital for due to pain…. But the report says unremarkable…. I’m confused because 3-10mL is normal range….

I guess I’m frustrated and now questioning that my symptoms must be from something else…. Maybe GI and stomach is actually causing more of my issues…. Which has me scared that I’ve been assuming all symptoms are uterine. I had a CT of kidney, bladder, uterer’s and those were all clear…..

I guess this is more of a “I’m confused” post. My ultrasounds never seem to show something “substantial”….

Sacrum pain / back to pain / heel pain

My lower back pain has me wanting to go to the ER this cycle, it’s so deep into my low back and sacrum, it almost makes me feel pressure like I need to poop all the time. I’m pretty sure it’s my cycle because I have myometrial cysts and suspected endo. I was in physio for what I thought was plantar fasciitis only to learn it’s likely sciatica pain. Does this sound familiar to anyone here? I’ve been stuck on freeze of not knowing what to do (offering Slynd, IUD, hysterectomy, excision, myfembree). I don’t know what to do 😭 I booked a pelvic floor physio appointment to hopefully stop whatever back pain/nerve/spasms I got going on…. Then what? I need all the help ladies.

Prairie dog central & heat

Looking for people who did prairie dog central yesterday, how was the heat? Today is even hotter. I saw rainbow stage cancelled their matinee show due to the heat advisory, I’m not sure why prairie dog central hasn’t done the same ?
