i’ve been attempting to build a family tree through ancestry, but of course ancestor provides “hints.” i’ve gotten relatively far (around 18th century, so i may be out of luck).
said ancestor was born in Germany and she eventually moved to Gyor, Hungary where she eventually passed away.
if i’m recollecting history the right way, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was starting to form and Germans had started settling in the Hungarian region.
the man she married’s last name trickles down into my mother’s side of the family as well. i just can’t seem to find much on her (unless names were changed).
any suggestions on where to look are welcome (i can provide as much info as i can) and of course the hard truth that i may not find her anywhere is welcome too, haha.
