Okay, I looked around and didn't find anything related excepted a google search............
When I parked on flat ground last week, the message never showed.....my driveway has a slight hill to it and when I backed into my driveway, with the nose down hill, the message never appeared......what I go home for lunch, I pull in and park with the nose uphill...that is when I get the message "Exhaust System Service Required See Dealer" for a literal half a second.....
So when I left work that day, I tried to video tape it so I could read it and the message didn't appear (I was on flat ground). The next morning I video taped it again trying to see what the message said but it didn't appear (backed in driveway, nose down). When I was leaving for lunch, I video taped it again to no avail (on flat ground). I went home for lunch, pulled in to the driveway (nose up), I video taped the startup and voila, the message popped up and I could finally read it. To test my theory, the following day, I didn't get any messages throughout the day (all flat ground) but when I went to my father in laws, I pulled in his drive (uphill) and got the message when we were leaving.
So yesterday, I ran the piss out of the truck hauling tractors around......I had a successful regen yesterday but when I pull it into a drive uphill, I still get the message on startup.......but I don't get the mesage when it's on flat ground or downhill.......
Is it worth my time to take it to the dealer?
