[TOMT] book about adopted girl?
Hopefully i did this correctly! I remember a little bit ago, me and my mom went to the thrift store to look at a few things, and there was this book that i saw that interested me that i cannot remember the name of. All that i really remember is that i think there was a brown haired girl on the cover and she was lying in some grass. I think the title on the cover was in yellow lettering? The only story/plot details i can remember are that the girl was adopted, and either her mom died during the story, or before the events of the story, and it was described on the back of the book. I think she also had a dog(i think it was brown?), and that she lived somewhere in the US, North carolina specifically i think. The book was also for older kids-younger teens i believe.(hopefully all this made/makes sense.) Random tidbit: when me and my mom got home from the thrift store, we tried seeing if it was available at our library and they either didn’t have it, or they did have it but it was checked out at the time.
