22F found note in boyfriend’s 22M journal confessing his feelings for his girl best friend
My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years and today I found a note saying that “he will be in a relationship with [girl best friends name] by summer 2026. I know she is the 1” with the 1 underlined 3 times.
I confronted him today and he apologized and said that it was from a year ago during the time I was away tree planting for 2 months and he loves me and was just confused. And that nothing ever actually happened, they just had a few conversations over text.
Obviously I am still super hurt and confused because I have always been loyal and he actually started to ‘not like’ this girl when I came back which was weird. They are now friends again but don’t see each other often. I haven’t checked his phone at all so I’m not sure if anything else is happening.
We had planned a full future together so I’m really upset about this and don’t want to be insecure completely in our relationship.
Does this make him completely untrustworthy and is our relationship completely screwed from this?
