Should I be getting married?
I (27 M) am dating my high school sweetheart (26 F). Recently she has been bringing up wanting marriage more since she’s graduating nursing school and has a job lined up post grad. While I definitely see her as my wife in the future I feel like we don’t have the finances for a wedding. I’m wanting to wait until I finish with my graduate degree and preferably after securing a job before seriously talking about a wedding.
I worry that if I don’t take this step I could loose her, but I still think we should wait until we are more finically stable. She hasn’t given me an ultimatum or anything like that, and has even offered to go down to the courthouse if I’m worried about money. I just feel like she’s downplaying what she wants to make me feel better, but I want to give her the wedding she deserves. Any advice is helpful since I feel like I’m just goin in circles in my own head and just don’t know what to do.
Tl;dr
Girlfriend keeps bringing up marriage and I think we should wait for the future when we have better finances.
