I am trying to decide where to invest my money and have been considering getting into rental property. I recently came across Section 8 investing and am curious about whether it is actually a good strategy for a first-time landlord.

The idea of having rental income that may be more predictable sounds appealing, but I am also trying to understand the other side of it — inspections, finding tenants, property requirements, paperwork, and everything else involved.

For anyone who has actually invested in Section 8 properties, what has your experience been like? Would you recommend it to someone just starting out?

I recently inherited around $100,000 and I am honestly a little overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do with it.

I have never had this much money available to invest before, so I do not want to make a quick decision and end up putting it somewhere I will regret. With inflation and all the economic uncertainty in the US right now, I am especially nervous about choosing the wrong investment.

I have been thinking about real estate, stocks, and other options, but I am not sure what makes the most sense for someone starting with this amount.

If you suddenly had $100k to invest, how would you approach it? Would you invest it all at once, spread it across different things, or wait until you had a clearer plan?

I am honestly pretty worried about my dog right now. I noticed earlier today that one of his paws was bleeding, and since then he has been licking it nonstop and barely wanting to put much weight on that leg.

The paw looks irritated, and he seems uncomfortable whenever he tries to walk. I checked between his toes and around the paw to see if I could find a cut or anything stuck in there, but I could not really figure out what happened. I am mostly worried that it could be more than just a small cut and that it might get infected.

He is usually super active, so seeing him walk differently and constantly focus on his paw is really stressing me out. I have been trying to keep him from licking it and keeping an eye on the bleeding, but I am still pretty worried about him.
