Hi,

I was put through a disciplinary action last year. This was due to me not responding to two messages via WhatsApp from a colleague. We don't use WhatsApp as a company communication tool. I had been in constant communication on Slack, and have the logs to show it.

I was told my lack of communication was a problem, and I was to either choose to go through a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), or could choose to exit the business. And I would also potentially exit the business at the end of the PIP anyway.

This was told to me in an ambush meeting, 1 on 1 with my manager. I was not told the purpose of the meeting ahead of time, no one else was present, HR wasn't present.

It was known at the time I had ADHD, but it was undiagnosed. But shared openly for years. I am now diagnosed formally. And have self-diagnosed Autism, which is being assessed right now.

I was not given the option of workplace accommodations or support or adjustments, until After I was put on the PIP.

This feels like discrimination, and a breach of employment law or due process.

I was signed off work for 2 months with stress and fatigue.

Since then my manager has been hostile towards me. I have requested a transfer of manager or department, and have been refused.

However, HR are now attending my meetings my with manager.

I had a meeting to today, where my manager was on better behavior, but immediately attacked my previous behavior of monologuing and not reading the room. These are autistic traits and ADHD traits, that I cannot control naturally.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to deal with this?

I feel so anxious, and like I cannot do my job, that I should just quit. But isn't that constructive dismissal?

Can someone help with some guidance as I feel very lost.
