PS:
ENG: People around here are being so weird lately. Is it the same for you guys? It feels like nobody realizes or understands that there’s more to birds than just city pigeons, and that they’re actually quite useful? Maybe it’s just a regional thing.

I don't know THAT much about birds, even though I have two feathered rascals of my own, but if I’m not mistaken, this is a turtle dove, right?

Pappus Chain anybody?

Hi! Sorry, I’m VERY new to Reddit ^^; (long-time lurker, first-time poster.)

I created an account just for this question: My goal is to create a Pappus Chain in Illustrator. (That's when circles sit perfectly between an inner and outer circle, touching both).

I tried everything I know, but it's always off and never snaps nicely as it should:

  • I tried making a center circle and placing the smaller circles on that line: Nope, they don't touch the borders correctly.
  • I tried making the borders first, but then the room between them is always a bit off for the circles to fit perfectly.
  • I tried to find a tutorial, but when I look up "Pappus chain Illustrator", I only get millions of videos on how to draw a jewelry chain (like for a necklace), which is not helping at all.

Does anyone know a trick or a way to make them snap to both borders at the same time? Thanks for any help!

a try of a pappus chain, gone wrong
