I am going to be building a pc in a couple of months and just wanted to know how good micro center deals actually are and if they are worth.

What I would be looking for:
Mobo: Asus tuf b850 (open to any really it just needs to be black to fit the aesthetic.
CPU: 7600x3d or 9600x (haven’t made up my mind yet)
Gpu:9070xt
Storage: 2tb Kingston drive
Ram: any 32gb kit
Psu: be quiet 850w
Case: Lancool 217
Cooler: Artic liquid freezer pro 360 mil

I have done a good bit of Linux research over the past few days and arch is one of the most appealing distros to me because of its customizable nature. My main uses for the computer would be gaming and a little bit of school work. I am coming from windows. I will be building the computer in like 3-4 months.

I am going to be building a computer in the next year mainly for gaming and I was looking into some of the stuff you can do with Linux and it all looks really cool. I mainly want to play single player games( Monster Hunter, Cyberpunk, Resident Evil) and a few multiplayer games( Cs2 and Rainbow 6) and was wondering what distro I should use. I am brand new to Linux with little programming knowledge but I really want to learn. eventually when I get good enough I want to go to a more complex distro like endeavor or something like that. The pc will probably be a RTX 5070 or a RX 9070xt for the gpu a ryzen 7 7600x3d for the cpu with 32 gigs ddr5, and a Asus tuf b850 mb.

I am planning out build that I am going to save up for this summer and don’t know what cpu gpu combo to go for.planning to play mostly single player games( cyberpunk , RE, Monster Hunter, Minecraft) but also some shooters as well( like r6 or cs) but don’t really know what combo to go with. In my area both combos are around the same price. I am also interested in messing around with RT or PT in my games.
