I added Gameball to my store after seeing nonstop hype around retention and LTV. Dashboard looked great, lots of charts, lots of “customer engagement” metrics, all the stuff you want to see.

Problem is my store performance barely changed. Repeat customers didn’t increase much and most shoppers ignored the loyalty side completely. Feels like these apps make store owners feel productive more than they improve customer behavior.

What annoyed me most is how hard they push upgrades once you’re in. Every feature that sounds useful ends up being locked behind a more expensive plan.
