My literature professor this semester wants us to write an essay that is FIRST person and NOT thesis-driven. My whole life I've been told this is the wrong way to write an essay, so I'm not really comprehending how to approach this.
It's a critical reflection paper of all we've learned this semester. The professor is asking us to use 5 books we read, 5 other articles, and 3 course themes. It should be in MLA Format. All of this makes sense except for the actual writing of the essay.
I'm going to our writing center soon, but I would like some other advice as well. Thank you!
