Buffet expecting tips?!?
So there’s 2 Chinese buffets I go to close to where I live and I’ve had experiences with both of them. The first one I’ve considered not going to anymore because they single me out for putting an automatic gratuity on my bill (this happens randomly and not every time I go) because I don’t tip and when I ask they lie and say they do it to everyone when I know they don’t. And they don’t have any signage advising guests that they might do that. The second place is not as egregious except whenever I pay with a card they always emphasize the tip and total space above the receipt signature. One time they did it and I responded by saying “so for no tip I just sign right” and the lady grudgingly said yes.
