Opening up positivity is real and beneficial
I know it doesn’t seem possible because sometimes you take hit after hit but when you change your habits and are open to the possiblity of good, it becomes more acceptable.
I’ve seen death and abuse consistently in my life but if I hadn’t tried to survive the best I could, I’d be deeper in a pit than what those experiences could ever possibly put me.
I’m the most spiteful person I can name and it seems like a tried and true method to survive against everything
This works because when you shift your perspective and focus as much as you can on what’s good, it heals your mind and soul and helps you open up to what life has to offer. If you close yourself off to good, your brain will fill in the gaps and label everything as doom, that’s just how survival works. You need to step out of your comfort zone and listen to the people who tell you this, even if you find them lesser than you.
And especially if your still a kid or a young adult. You are not little Einstein.
This isn’t to say that you should just take everything and not allow negativity- you cannot heal without balance, but I want to show the importance of just learning to accept life and focusing on what you can control and what keeps you happy and comfortable.
Really it’s about finding balance..
Of course be accountable and responsible but please don’t shrink yourself and reduce yourself or others to nothing. There’s genuinely no need to do that and it doesn’t only hurt yourself but others as well.
Start by brainstorming the things that make you happy and then be willing to introduce new habits- especially if you can’t think of anything.
You’re all very strong, keep fighting! You’ll only become stronger.. or at least you’ll be able to function in a healthy way
And look at it this way, if you think you can only create a world that’s a black void, what could possibly stop you from going in the other direction? Create a world that’s beautiful, surround yourself with what makes you happy. Open a window
Worst part is that it’s difficult, just get over that hurdle. Pain isn’t fair but it’s 2026 and we have resources, free resources. I’m sorry that you weren’t granted the same stability that others were, no one deserves to have to come to terms with these things.
