Hello, I am writing to you with the heavy heart of a father who is watching his son’s dream slip away while standing utterly helpless.
My son is a hardworking 24-year-old young man studying physical therapy and preparing to graduate this year. He has dedicated his years of study to learning how to relieve the pain of others and help them recover, but today, he is the one in desperate need of someone to ease his pain.
He suffers from a severe, debilitating case of psoriasis. This disease is not only attacking his body but is also threatening his entire future. It prevents him from practicing the medical profession he loves and stands as a cruel barrier between him and his simple dream of marrying the girl he loves and starting a family.
There is hope for his recovery, but the cost far exceeds what our family can bear. The only effective treatment for his condition requires advanced biological injections. A single injection costs $75,000, and he urgently needs multiple doses to save his life and his future.
What deepens our financial helplessness is that his twin sister also requires significant medical and daily support; she suffers from a severe visual impairment and spinal curvature (scoliosis). Providing her with proper care and a decent life consumes all our remaining resources and strength.
