Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my situation and see if anyone has successfully handled something similar.

I came across a website through an Instagram ad selling concert tickets and merch. What’s crazy is that the site was an almost perfect clone of a real artist merch/ticket website (same design, layout, branding, product pages — literally everything matched).

The only subtle difference was in the URL (there was a small variation, like an extra dot), which I didn’t notice at the time.

I made a payment of €146 using my Revolut card and approved it via 3D Secure, believing it was legitimate. Right after the payment, the site pushed another step (trying to get me to buy additional concert tickets), which made me suspicious. Within a few minutes, I realized it was a scam.

There was no proper confirmation, no real service, and the whole setup was clearly a fake clone designed to trick users.

I immediately reported it to Revolut and provided all the evidence (website screenshots, ad, proof it’s a fake copy), but they declined my dispute. Their reason was that I authorized the payment, even though they acknowledged it was a purchase scam
