So, I was a happy user of a video-creator-from-live-photos-app from 2017 up until 2021 i think, when that app stopped or actually took a new direction with a new design, removing the live-photo feature 😞
I was able to "not upgrade” for a while so still somewhat happy, but people around me couldn't download the old version anymore (and they also wanted to create those fun videos). And it got worse after 2021 when added videos would crash the old unsupported app, so it was live-photo's only from that time on…
For years I was thinking, I should be able to create an app like that. So this year I started with it, and now it arrived! It's basically only for myself, but then people would ask me how to make those videos, so I created the iOS only app and added it to the AppStore, so here it is: QuMiJa: Aftermovie-maker for your iPhone.
It’s really what I use it for, aftermovies. Have it ready within a minute or so, on your way back from a trip, weekend, BBQ, festival, skiing, beach, diners, zoo, forrest-walks, you name it, I'm shooting nice live-photos of my family and friends. My tip is always to make the live-photo a little bit active/dynamic, so shoot the picture of your kid, and pan away to the landscape in the two seconds which the live video is taken, or zoom in/out directly after taking the picture. And keep all your photo/video's in landscape (or portrait if you love VVS 😉 ), but keep most of them the same layout. The app will take whatever you have used as default, but you can change it of course in the settings.
