On an episode of Fantasy Baseball Today, a fantasy baseball podcast put out by CBS, they were talking about prospects to stash for dynasty leagues and when discussing Bonemer one of the hosts said he thinks there’s a chance he could be a top 10 prospect by the end of the year.
If Roch goes 1st overall and is projected as highly as has been rumored and Montgomery keep progressing this season the Sox could have 3 prospects in the top 15 to start next year. For comparison only the Tigers have more than 1 in the top 15 this year, and if you extend it out to top 20 the Mariners are the only other team with 2.
That alone is reason for optimism, but then you add the hot starts to the season for Noah Schultz, Hagen Smith, Jacob Gonzalez, Samuel Zavala and there may be reason to believe the Sox could actually be building something here.
