Thai gl mega pinterest board!

I’ve been slowly building a mega Thai GL board and I’m currently at around 900 pins 😭

It’s a bit of a work in progress right now — some pins are already organized into different GL sections, while others are still sitting in the main board waiting to be sorted.

I’m thinking of turning it into a proper community mega-board where we can collect Thai GL content in one place — dramas, couples, actresses, edits, posters, stills, memes, etc. and eventually organize everything properly.

I figured I’d ask here since this is probably the exact audience that would appreciate it:
Would anyone be interested in joining and helping build it?

If yes, here’s the invite: https://pin.it/5bTqaaAoi
Feel free to also suggest sections/categories you’d want to see.

Not me having a literal enemies to lovers with Fai😭😭 (Fire 4E ep5)

They were so adorable this episode…..I never anticipated to fall for FaiKaphrao so bad!

This is one very convincing Enemies to Lovers Plot and a well executed trope…

We can clearly see the character developments esp Fai like girl is learning to treat her woman right…..

We can clearly see the emotional bondage her immature and selfish bob aunt has kept her in making it difficult for her to make peace with her own feelings, Moreover, Nod asking Fai to back off was a bitter move so to speak other than that I get her too but seeing Fai this ep….
I am obviously Team:Fai go get your girl before anyone else does😭✨

Kaphrao is such a cutie patootie istg…..I knew it that Phi Jah gotta be Fai afterall, She never despised Fai which is jus sad and cute at the same time!

I’m jus loving the direction the series is going in overall

Don’t forget to drop your thoughtss ;)

I really wanna discuss about Belle and Nalin (Shades)….

I started Shades having mixed feelings about Nalin cus her introduction as a teacher and her past in the same school was quite shady….no pun intended T-T

But she turned out to be such a good mentor and anchor for the students especially Belle! Her being from the same school allowed her to empathise with the girls and their experiences in a good way too
She ofc cant fix everything wrong that was happening but she was the only teacher who could actually contribute to any solution…

Now her relationship with Belle is quite complex considering Belle’s feelings towards her….She was always more than a teacher to her which is why Nalin was able to break the walls Belle had built around her….it was like a very curated psychotherapy where the therapist makes you her/his friend before anything so that sharing anything can become easy and effortless….that was what Nalin did with Belle…So I feel it was natural for Belle to develop feelings for Nalin because she became a symbol of positivity in her dark life trying to get Belle out of the isolation and solitude she has been in basically living the life of an orphan asw!
So seeking parental love and romantic love at the same time in Nalin was why Belle felt the way she did and I think this dynamic is very carefully and beautifully presented without exactly romanticising it deliberately…

About Nalin…does she reciprocate Belle’s feelings but knows her boundaries or was she always professional even when helping and caring for Belle (I think its the latter but still) is something I hope is expanded on in the next part…

What do you all think about it though I really wanna know!

Dont forget to drop your thoughts ;)

Shades OST ดู (Do?) appreciation post

The moment I heard this banger in the outro of episode 4 I was mindblown....This is the most creative and PEAKK OST matching the vibe of the series I have heard till now!!

The MV was equally artistic and breathtaking!

Everything about Shades is GOATED MY LORD

Shades is an underrated gem…..

I kept putting Shades off because I usually don’t enjoy high-school romances.

Then I finally watched it.

AND GURL WAS IT SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!!

It felt like wlw Euphoria…actually even better!!

Here’s everything I felt about this underrated gem-

The characters:

I love how every episode gives us the backstory of the characters and give a basis to what influences their behaviours in the present….**the depth is the soul of the show**

They nailed “morally grey” characters so well….we can obv still pick sides but I think what this series does the best is making us feel how human these students or the teachers are and not just one dimensional good or bad people….

What really impressed me was how Shades never uses dark themes just for shock value. Every storyline has a purpose. Whether it’s bullying, financial exploitation, abusive parenting, online sexual exploitation through Som, homophobia, class differences, or institutional pressure, they all shape who these girls become instead of simply existing to make the show “darker.”

and here, I say it...

SHADES IS WHAT GIRL RULES WANTED TO BE

And can we talk about that outro? The music perfectly amplifies the mystery and emotional tension. It’s genuinely one of those OSTs that’s going straight into my playlist.

I’m an incredibly picky rewatcher. Once I know the story, I usually move on. But Shades is one of the very few shows that made me want to restart Episode 1 immediately after finishing it—not because I forgot what happened, but because I wanted to watch these characters again knowing everything I know now.

EASILY GOING TO MY TOP 5 GLs.....it'll be hard to top this
EAGERLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT PART!

Please dont forget to drop your opinions asw ;)

PS: about the GR comparison,,,Both series try to juggle multiple characters, romances and darker themes. The difference is that *Shades* makes every storyline feel purposeful. The “mess” in Shades is very much intended and jus not for the sake of it.

I Slept on Shades for So Long… Biggest Mistake Ever!!

I kept putting Shades off because I usually don’t enjoy high-school romances.

AND GURL WAS IT SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!!

It felt like wlw Euphoria…actually even better!!

Here’s everything I felt about this underrated gem-

They nailed “morally grey” characters so well….we can obv still pick sides but I think what this series does the best is making us feel how human these students or the teachers are and not just one dimensional good or bad people….

Belle: easily my favourite….she is introduced to be rebellious but all she needed was some nurturing from a good mentor(Nalin), how she might seem weird/rough but basically has a heart of gold….I LOVE HER

Earn: My shaylaaa…..her innocence, need for money, her exploitation….very well presented, It was not her fault for falling into Som’s trap because it was someone she trusted….I really liked her asw

Jane: (omg ok firstly a random thought, she is like if lingorm had a daughter and orm’s genes dominated…..she feels like a Mini Orm to me idk why😭)
I really adored her kind nature, goofy energy and she lwk gave stud sometimes while protecting Nano….it was funny and cute lolol def the cutest character

Nano: SHE IS DA MOTHER SO FCKING HOTT….her character is still quite mysterious given that the show has left us on a cliff-hanger ughhhh but her badass rbf is jus the coolest

Nalin: She is such a good person and mentor istg…the way she is the only one who actually gets the girls because she too was from the same school….her bond with Belle is my fav (sorry not sorry I was unable to stop shipping them😂😂) but its really refreshing how she managed to bring a change in Belle

Amy and Sophie: Sophia had it so badd…..I cant imagine that kind of pressure from a toxic parent!
She was brave enough to walk away from her mother cus gurl that was a good decision to not let her affect your peace anymore
however I am unsure about Amy like idk she literally made a gf two days after breaking up with the “love of her life” ….Amy gurl I am not sure about your commitment thingy🥀

RIP to Fai’s hater era for good and island playing cupid😭 (Fire 4E Ep 4)

Ok this is my fav episode of Fire 4E so far…
Fai realising her feelings and tryna act cool is so funny

The romance has finally entered the chat✨✨

Kaphrao my shaylaa😭
she is such a cutie istg….confused by the sudden flip in Fai’s behaviour its so funny lolol

I must say this ep gave me major Air 4E flashbacks too…I love how the island arc always leads to something good with the mc’s, it surely has love in the air!

P’nam needs special mention….her humour always hits the mark, “even the crab was so shocked”😂😂 gurl what

overall I really enjoyed this episode and I can see Fai’s character developing and softening obviously

I am excited for Boss Rose’s advice in the next ep and all the upcoming drama

Dont forget to drop your thoughts ;)

No way this show has me rooting for Ai x Gen😭😭

After watching ep 5 and seeing all the discussions the series has sparked I must say it does a pretty convincing job in making you fall in love with Ai and Gen’s pure dynamic….

I always thought that Irene and Gen would end up together but after this ep I think not😭😭….cus its just that Ai’s personality is more compatible with Gen in a romantic sense

This company sure knows how to direct nc scenes first LBD and now Ai Girl….like the girls know how to fricking kiss…
Gen gives off stud vibes and I am all here for it✨

But still there are logical fallacies in the show that I can’t get past esp:

•Gen being a hacker or dealing with tech, graphic designing etc for so long still overlooking the fact that Ai could record information or their interactions

• I really hope they give a strong basis for why exactly Ai was sent to Gen by Irene.

•the fake passports thing like the metal might still be detected in the security check or there must be some mechanism to deceive that😭

However I am enjoying this show so far which I never expected lolol

Seeing Rann in the preview got me excited for how this universe unfolds…Me Mind Y is surely onto something!

If Pls Love series gets Pheem wrong, the whole show falls apart (Novel review and discourse)

LenaMiu made me read the book….I finished it in less than 48 hours

IT IS THAT GOOD

I fell in love with the writing that how emotinally visual and expressive it was, one of the biggest strengths of the book for sure!

I will recommend reading the novel before the series not because the show is gonna be bad but the fact that the book gives space for the character arcs to form gradually in a very balanced pace and makes us understand Pheem, Pan, their traumas and decisions so much better….

Now the most important and sensitive themes(might contain spoilers)

Pheem’s character arc:
Is she toxic?? HELL YEAH
but is she the greatest yearner? also yes That’s what makes her such an interesting protagonist. I rarely agreed with her actions, but I almost always understood where they came from.

what makes Pheem a yellow flag (and not a red flag) for me is the redemption and remorse the character goes through in the second half of the story
While reading I couldn’t help but picture her as an amplified version of Sam from Gap,
The toxicity in the first half is well… uncomfortable
the constant slut shaming from Pheem or her obsession to possess Pan and Pan’s objectification is unpleasant to the core and would have to be toned down but I want the emotional consequences to be as raw in the series

The thing with Pheem is that she needs to be done right only then will the series hit its mark and…
If there’s one person I’m not worried about, it’s Lena. The teaser alone convinced me she can capture Pheem’s intensity. My concern is whether the writing will preserve Pheem’s complexity.

THE INTIMATE SCENES WERE PERFECTION:
GANG if they even deliver 50% of the angst in the sex scenes from the novel….the job is fricking done
Beautifully Captivating and not just erotic but romantic and conveyed the yearning so amazingly genuinely a major highlight of the book…Had me gasping for air and shi😭😭

Pan, her work profile, the discrimination and purity complex undertones in the book:

Pan is one of my favourite characters because she’s both submissive and surprisingly bold. Beneath that are layers of family trauma, financial struggles and the constant discrimination she faces because of her profession.
One thing I kept thinking about, though, was the novel’s treatment of her work. While it does a good job showing the stigma and dehumanization directed at lounge hostesses, it also repeatedly emphasizes that Pan never actually had sex with clients. I couldn’t help but wonder if this was simply a character choice…or if it unintentionally leans into a purity complex, where the heroine is made more “acceptable” because she remains sexually untouched.

BUT BTW MIU IS FS THE ANGEL DESCRIBED IN THE NOVEL….She brought Pan to life with the angelic visuals in the celestial white gown and gaggedd uss

I’m genuinely curious how everyone else interpreted this, because I found it to be one of the most interesting aspects of the novel.

THE PROBLEM THAT ARISES WITH PLOT CHANGE!
If they’ll turn it into an exes to lovers it will be a major disappointment because What makes Pheem and Pan’s relationship so compelling is that they’re complete strangers at the beginning. Their relationship isn’t built on unresolved feelings from the past—it’s built on prejudice, curiosity, desire, misunderstanding, guilt, and eventually redemption. Every stage of their relationship feels earned because they’re learning who the other person really is alongside the reader.

In nutshell….the teaser sold me on the chemistry of Lena and Miu the novel sold me on the psychology of Pheem and Pan….it all boils down to the execution of the story now.

Please let me know about your thoughts gng ;)

PS: I was surprised the slap scene isnt in the book cus Pan is too calm for actually being pushed to the point of getting violent…. whats that about(but i wont complain obv cus its HOTT lmaoo😭)

The JanJingjing crumbs in MuTeLuv(Hello is this Luck?) are insaneee😭

I binged the mini series and JanJingjing didn’t disappoint….I loved them in these characters, especially Jingjing as an artsy baddie??!! NEED FRR

I was so right when I said that Janhae is really good in comedy and has one of the best comic timing like the gay panic, the anxiety, the frustration was so well acted out by her

Alsoo…the thing stands out for me is they capture the switch energy so well…in this series Jan is genuinely giving sub/bottom energy and Jingjing as top(I absolutely love top JJ)…which is very different from LalWine in EwB….The range is commendable!

This was a really good watch and therapeutic after EwB ended(I know a speacial’s coming but still…)😭

PS: special mention to the brownies lmaoo….now I understood all the brownie references in the comments in the yogurt scene of EwB
