Let me start with what has been a part of my complains for Pls Love- The pacing was so much better story wise

there were a lot of developments in this episode and they HIT HARD emotionally….Maximum of its credit goes to our Stars Lena and Miu….I could feel every emotion through the screen, THEY HAVE CLEARLY GIVEN IT THEIR ALL TO BRING PEEMPARN TO LIFE!

The changes in the story of the novel don’t concern me too much now since I can see where they are going with this modified story for now…things are falling into place very well and I LOVE THAT!

Just the fact that Peem in the novel was still much more insufferable because unlike the series, Parn was not dating Peem…so technically the series creates a premise where we hold Parn accountable to an extent as well for lying to Peem, which was indeed wrong since they were pretty much together mutually.

But now what Peem is doing to cope with this whole situation is gonna be a dreadful sight to see.

I am very excited for the next few episodes that are left (WHY ONLY 8?!!! AHHHH)

No major complaints about this one…..I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT…Its always a delight seeing such natural and flawless performances….GORGEOUS VISUALS TOO OF COURSE!

And they have broken up but THE CHEMISTRY STILL BURNING LIKE WILD FIRE I SWEAR! 😭✨

PS: The shower scene was so unexpected but really hot! (it was an addition from the special of pls love if I am not wrong😭✨)

This particular scene contains a lot of depth and sets the stage for the next phase of PheemPan’s relationship….this phase will be even more stronger because both the characters have shown how one deeply loves the other in their own way

I need to appreciate the performances which put life into all the unsaid feelings through expressions in this sequence.

PHEEM:
She is deeply trapped in a dilemma as soon as the meeting with Songsak actually happens and all he wants is something she dreads to share. She is frustrated and suffocated as her heart and brain are not in alignment….her heart really wants to believe that Pan was always hers and she is actually telling the truth about her work but her brain denies everything and labels Pan as a “whore” who doesn’t care who she sleeps with if she is getting money.

PAN:
She is confused yet helplessly willing to go through with it because she believes it is important to Pheem. And this feels like a tragic destruction of her own set moral boundary-“No physical intimacy with any client” but she is sacrificing this for the sake of the woman she has inevitably fallen for so hard that if the only way out is compromising her body…that’s the least she can do for Pheem to get the contract.
However, Pan’s body is rejecting the man’s touch out of sheer disgust, she feels impure, exploited and used as Songsak lays hands on her…Tears threaten to fall as she closes her eyes as if trying to detach herself from what is going to happen with her

PHEEM:
She has finally concluded she will let the past be and from now on won’t let anyone near Pan, not on her watch, her feelings for Pan are so strong that its impossible to shake them off or simply turn a blind eye to….THUS—Songsak’s contract is a piece of junk infront of her woman’s dignity

She reaches and bangs the door in haste, fury and a fear of what might’ve already happened between Pan and Songsak…the door opens and we see how Pheem sees a teary eyed Pan who is visibly anxious, helpless and wants to escape, Pan’s eyes do flicker with slight hope at the sight of the enraged Pheem…Pheem takes no time in getting Pan out of the devastating situation she herself put her in but before the crashing realisation that— she can’t let Pan be exploited like this when she is very much conscious about it…this connection is beyond both of their understanding especially Pheem who can’t seem to wrap her head around what her actions towards Pan are while its crystal clear to us that its- LOVE AND LOVE EXCEEDS ALL

SO BOTH OF THEM HERE MADE A CHOICE

Pan was ready to risk all of her moral high ground — her number one rule when it came to her work — for Pheem. She wanted to help her, and if this was the only way she could, she didn’t hesitate.

Pheem for that moment, she threw every perception she had of prostitutes, every prejudice she had attached to Pan and everything she thought she knew about her away because none of it mattered when she saw Pan in that situation.

They both crossed a line for each other.
They just don’t realise yet what that choice says about how deeply they have already fallen for one another.

Both of them made me feel each and every emotion I have explained in here especially how uncomfortable the scene was we could clearly see the disgust and anxiousness in Miu’s eyes and Lena of course is definitely a veteran when it comes to scenes like these…HATS OFF

I am laughing my ass off at how I thought the series would tone down on some of the toxic aspects in my review of the novel😂

OMG…..Episode 2 was literally a roller coaster on 2x speed for me, I had to recover and then rewatch it just to give a viable opinion, I don’t wanna come across as a
“Oh I love the toxicity!!!” person cause after the last scene I wont exactly say that
but more like “I like the angst between them” is what’s MY POINT here.

One thing I have come to realise and is important for my further review is : THEY HAVE NOT EXACTLY ADAPTED THE NOVEL BUT TAKEN INSPIRATION FROM IT AND IN FACT INCREASED THE STAKES

That being said-
Did I enjoy the episode? I would be lying if I say no because I did….it was another crisp episode with a lot of insane shit happening and LenaMiu DELIVERED

BUT THE EDITING? ughhh Ch3 imma nuke you cus why just why are the cuts like that, I am just not liking the abruptness of scenes especially Techin and Angel’s interaction being cut out and even NC scenes felt really quick to end

So WHAT I ENJOYED:

The drunk Pheem scene and Pan taking her home….it was the cutest interaction between them and we saw how Pheem’s heart wrenches because of Pan and how she does something for a living that Pheem had never imagined
“Why it had to be you?” this one line says a lot about how it crushes Pheem that Pan had to be “The Angel of Paradise”
I feel she would be better to talk to when drunk cus boy she doesn’t listen at all when sober esp to Pan.

The reveal to Pheem and Pan’s besties respectively that how they had slept together but basically didn’t know anything about each other and Pan realising what she has gotten into…

They kept the whole Mamiew getting assaulted sequence and rightly so….about execution I would rate it an 8/10
How prostitution is seen as a crime in itself when these women are just either doing it for family or are basically trafficked and then they have to endure assaults of all kind without The Authorities ever taking them seriously is a REAL ISSUE and TRAGIC!

Pan and Pheem- 3 million deal
Dangg that scene was pretty book accurate with the level of spiciness and a very small interesting detail-
Pheem turns her head slightly away the moment Pan reaches her face to kiss her and then Pan gets up feeling scorned but Pheem pulls her back and then finally kisses her—LENAMIU THE ACTRESSES YOU ARE THIS WAS PURE PERFECTION

WHAT I AM NOT SURE OF:

The blackmail strategy of Pheem to pay Pan’s family’s debts off in order to “Control her Life”

THIS IS WHERE THEY DEVIATED FROM THE NOVEL AND AMPLIFIED EVERYTHING TO A WHOLE NEW “TOXIC”

this toxic and the novel toxic are nowhere near the same

ALL THE APPREHENSIONS ARE STATED AS FOLLOWS:

• Them going overboard with some things that Pheem might feel irredeemable

• Manhandling reaching a level that its illegal

• Pacing the story too fast that a lot of things are just implied leaving all of us confused with 10-20 Novel chapter moments being stuffed into a single episode

• THE LAST SCENE DEBATE

So lemme address the elephant in the room now:

Was it sexual harassment? YES

Was it rape? ABSOLUTELY NO

Was it “glorified”? Pan slapped the shi outta Pheem so NO

Now this is where the judgements differs and the boundaries get blurred—Pheem kissed Pan a total of 3 times despite of Pan repeatedly pushing her away even screaming….
Now at last Pan kissed her back,
Did she melt into the kiss?
or
Did she succumb to her “fate”?

I think its the former, you can clearly see Pans hands going up inside Pheem’s top but WE NEED HER POV OF WHY SHE KISSED HER BACK OR WHY SHE ENDURED PHEEM…..this is very disoriented rn all credits to ch3😀💔

THE REDEMPTION BETTER START AT Ep-4/5😭
cus thats gonna be one hell of a ride…

I LIVE FOR THE ANGST AND ELECTRIC INTIMACY OF PheemPan and LenaMiu but we need to be responsible when watching shows with Dark themes…

Lena- I couldn’t praise this woman more with how she has made me hate Pheem atp😭….I HAVE SEEN SUCH GREAT ACTING AFTER A LONG TIME- PURE CINEMA DAMN!

PS: For god’s sake don’t compare it to the monstrosity of a show “My only Sunshine” and please the scenes were not the same what are some of ya’ll on about💀

I have so fuckin many thoughts that it will need me a rewatch to come up with a genuine and rational opinion on this ep of pls love

The story has taken a whole different detour from the novel and
Lines have definitely been blurred in a lot of aspects

This one needs a critical viewpoint and I would really like to put forth my analysis shortly

PS: but guyss….we can’t ignore that LenaMiu’s acting is top tier….Serving hardd damn

These two have given us so many memorable characters….they share amazing chemistry with each other and are great girl kissers too!
Its high time for them to have a series of their own coming out of the support roles arc😭🙏🏻

4 elements gave us a family, connection and love which will be cherished for long I am sure!

Very beautifully we saw the stories of 4 cousins finding love their own unique way….

The production was amazing throughout all the series, the budget was good and we could all see that in the amazing cinematic shots!
The osts were really good asw (Air and Water osts are on loop on spotify 😍)

The feeling of familiarity and love among family members was truly felt from The Earth itself….
We all were obsessed with the cool relationship of the 4 cousins wishing we could have something like this irl😭😭

We got 2 new CPs who I was sceptical about but didn’t disappoint me at all…..in fact I can see how Fire and Earth have become favourites of people cause they were that well made!
(Fire fs came as a surprise to me for how crazily good it was)

Air ik as FreenBecky garnered more expectations might’ve not met all of them but it was truly a very enjoyable bodyguard-princess romance😭

Water was great imo….EngLot have repeatedly proven how they can serve amazing an amazing show if the direction and writing is done right!

I will really miss 4 elements saturdays and I hope the special we are getting comes soon and shows all of them with their younger versions, that is their children…It will be so wholesome😭😭

FaiPhrao are such victims of their own situations istg…..Faiiii!! how I cried at the flashback scenes where the reality was so different…she has always been loving and pious despite of the neglect in parenting and influence of her evil bowl cut aunt😔

My heart warmed at their scenes together….never has a slow-burn felt so rewarding to me!

Kaphrao/Noey was beautifully glowing in this episode✨

Pacing-wise this element has come out of syllabus to surprise me….really good character development over the span of 7 episodes truly!

Aunt Panee….why is she even relevant bro like I cant even take her seriously with that fuggly ahh haircut 😂

I really have enjoyed Fire a lot more than I anticipated fs

There seems to be a lot of drama incoming in episode 8….excited for that!
