Loving is unintentional. Fading takes intention..

I’ve seen people talk about someone they once loved with resentment or even disgust. And every time, I wonder what kind of pain changes love into something so unrecognizable. Maybe I just haven’t experienced enough life yet. Maybe one day I’ll understand it too.

But until now, love has not worked that way for me.

The people I’ve loved… somehow, the love only grows with time. And when I do “stop” loving someone, It is intentional. like I’m forcing myself to bury the feeling, choosing distance because holding on hurts too much.

Love fading takes effort.

Forgetting takes effort.

But love itself?

It feels effortless. Almost stubborn.

So maybe for some people, love becomes hate. But in my little experience, if left untouched, love only grows slowly in the most beautiful ways.

Maybe, deep down, this is true for all of us..
