Silent reflux worsened from skipping breakfast

So I'm here for some clarification on something.

Tldr: My question is, how far did I push my recovery back by skipping breakfast twice and getting hurt by the acid build up.

Full explanation below

About two months ago I severely overused my voice and damaged it. A month later I was diagnosed with silent reflux, and am now a few days away from having been on omeprazole for a month.

Healing was incredibly slow- as to be expected -then I went on a trip where I was consistently waking up early and eating breakfast- which i typically skip. I do eat the smaller more frequent meals as advised but my home lifestyle has always made it hard to eat breakfast. Not going to to into too much detail there.

While away for a week it felt like my throat started recovering incredibly quickly. Like going from 10% to 90% better in just that one week.

Then I got back, have skipped breakfast twice and now my throat feels like its back to 10%. So I looked up that not eating in the morning is bad because of the stomach acid build up. So I'm now changing things in my life to eat breakfast everyday.

So as stated above, my question is how far back would you predict i pushed my recovery back by just doing this twice?

Because this has been a massive struggle. I've stuck perfectly to all the lifestyle changes and diets for a month which has been super mentally taxing. So if this undid most of if not all of my progress, I don't know how well I'd handle it, but at the same time knowing what to expect is for the best
