my cat is almost 11 years old and she recently had to be rehomed after living with the same family since she was a kitten. I’ve had her for about a month and a half, I wake up to her standing directly on top of me and when I’m in my bed, she’ll tend to lay on me rather than straight on the bed, but she’s still very jumpy and seems to have a lot of anxiety. how can i help her to feel more comfortable in a new space, particularly after she has been transitioned from outdoor to indoor since I live in an apartment? I know about the 3-3-3 rule, and that has been pretty accurate so far, but is there anything else I can be doing for her?
