I think unfinished stories haunt writers more than failed ones

At the very least, finished stories exist and are great. Yet, unfinished ones are like stuck in this frozen and weird state where they still could have become something amazing. I have abandoned projects I think about more than the stories I actually completed.

When someone says "I'm not like other girls/guys"

I overheard this guy talking to a girl the other day and he literally said, "I'm not like other guys" with a completely serious tone. Idk but it earned me an instant eye roll. Something about people announcing how different they are almost always has the opposite effect somehow. Like if you're genuinely different, people will prolly notice naturally without the whole speech about it. The phrase just immediately sounds forced to me every single time.

Some of the best friendships in life begin completely by accident

It's interesting how some of the people who end up meaning the most to us entered our lives in the most random ways. No planning, no expectations, sometimes just being in the same place at the right time. Meanwhile, the connections we try hardest to force don't always last the same way. maybe the strongest friendships grow naturally because neither person was trying too hard to make it happen.

25/5 works for me sometimes but other times it feels too short to really get into a flow. I feel like I just get started and then the timer goes off. But at the same time, longer session can feel draining if I'm not being careful. I'm still trying to find a balance that works for me. What do you use that feels sustainable?

i'm still figuring out if I should adjust my skincare depending on how my skin feels each day or just stick to the same routine no matter what. Some days my skin feels dry so I want to add more moisture but other days it feels fine and I don't want to overdo it. I worry that changing too much might mess things up but sticking to the same steps also doesn't always feel right. It's kind of a balance I haven't figured out yet.
