New Skater, and would like some advice
I just bought parts to build a cruiser ! I picked up a Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt Fender deck, Polar Bear 130 trucks, Ricta Cloud Cruiser 78a 60mm wheels ( I may also get a more chunky wheel around 63-65) and Zealous green bearings. I still need riser pads and hardware, but so far the total is around $289, including about $36 for shipping. The deck alone cost around $25 to ship, so I’m not sure if I overpaid a little or not. Did I overspend on my first cruiser setup for campus commuting?
The board is mostly going to be for getting around campus. I’m still pretty new to skating, and before this I had a Walmart longboard that was just too heavy and annoying to carry around, so I wanted something lighter and easier to use.
Once everything arrives, I’m going to get it assembled. I’m also thinking about getting a second board later on—an actual skateboard—for around $150 or less. ( board will mostly be used for fun or trying out tricks and such).
I am not entirely sure how much skate boards are supposed to cost but I am looking on advice on getting the skateboard figured out. Should I custom build or get pre-built? About 150 or under is about how much I am willing to spend on a skateboard after I get my Cruiser built. Looking for advice thank you!
