Units for TvT late game?

What is the best way to break another Terran in late game, especially if he has turtled up with several planetaries, sieged up tanks, turrets etc.?

Also, are there any high level 8 worker TvT builds published that I can learn?

Thanks

Going from Platinum to Diamond?

Hello fellow Terrans,

I just finished my very first SC2 season in lower plat. I am wondering, from your experience, what the biggest factors/habits that differentiate platinum and diamond level play are. Ideally my goal is that at the end of next season I reach diamond (just a personal goal, no big deal).

I would say that my biggest weakness is still army control (I still blunder my entire army to 2 wrong clicks sometimes), but probably the most important thing to focus on is just macro and to spend the res.

Bonus question: I still have not started using camera location hotkeys. Do you use them in diamond league, and if so, how did you start incorporating them? Did they help your gameplay a lot?

Proxy assimilator?

Hey, why do some protoss players send a probe to drop an assimilator in my main? I get it that maybe they don't want me going double gas early on, but surely this cannot be in any way efficient for them. I always feel like if they do this then it is my game to lose. Am I missing something?

Context: new player, low platinum league.

Workers x Military Productioj

Hello folks, is there some kind of a conversion table or something similar for calculating how many workers can sustain constant production from x amount of barracks/factories/starports?

Smurfs are Ruining Everybodys Experience

Hello, I started SC2 roughly 2 months ago and jumped right onto the ranked ladder. I did not realize this at first, but the smurfing problem in this game is absolutely out of control. This is not "encountering a smurf 1-2 times a week" type of thing, but yesterday I got 3 in a row. When you queue up on ladder and the first three games of your evening are vs people who have intentionally lost the last 10 games and decide to then stomp you, it really kills my desire to even play SC2 ladder. They prevent you from reaching your levels steadily and could be driving hundreds of new players like me away. Is there any way this issue can be addressed? Does reporting a player actually help in any way? I have played other competitive RTS games and, while smurfing exists everywhere, the sheer volume here is just insane. Sorry for the rant but I do believe SC2 needs a healthy playerbase (which would include newer players joining) and I don't know if anything is being done about this issue.

Production buildings question

When tabbing through production buildings, if one starport has a tech lab and the other one a reactor, and if I queue up a medivac, will the game always prioritise the building with the reactor (assuming I am only creating one medivac)? I.e. does the game figure out that I might be needing the tech lab starport in a few seconds for a banshee? Sorry if I worded this weirdly, hope it makes sense. Thanks!

Can't use Vikings to save my life

Hello, new player here (200ish games so far).

I can't seem to use my vikings effectively vs units that on paper have less range than me. Last game, I was vs protoss who went quick stargate into void rays, so I got a bunch of vikings out. I'm thinking his 6 range units will get hardcountered by my 9 range guys. Wrong. They just feel so clunky in my hands that by the time I fire and turn to fly away to try and kite, the void rays keep getting in range and shooting me down.

Are there any tricks to using vikings better? Any tips appreciated, thanks!

What is considered "BM" in sc2?

Hello, I just won a game with the help of some cloaked banshees and the opponent said I was "rude and souring the game," are there any Terran strats which are considered to be BM?

For context new player here (<200 games)

Hello! New player here with another question.

I am trying to decide what kind of hotkey setup is optimal for me. So far, I have used 5 for command centers, 2 for barracks, 3 for factories, 4 for starports, and only 1 for my army. This is because since I am a beginner I got kinda used to just A-moving most of my stuff together and then clicking individual units with my mouse if I want to move them around while in battle. I realize that this is a horrible habit and I want to get rid of it as early as possible. I now realize that I need 1, 2, and 3 for my army so that I can siege my tanks fast, move my air units separately fast, have only infantry on 1 (or even to split marines and marauders), etc... But then if I assign some of my production to 6 and 7, it feels too far to reach and seems pretty bad.

Should I put all production on one hotkey and then use tab to switch between them? I am thinking that the extra keystroke (tab) can be inefficient. Do intermediate/advanced players use tab? Or do you remap some of the keys somewhere else on the keyboard? P.S. command centers on hotkey 5 is non negotiable.

Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hello, I am having trouble connecting to the servers. The battle.net client itself is displaying the "we couldn't load that" message, and switching between games does not fix this. Then, when entering the actual game, the authenticating page is loading forever. Sometimes it connects but then the ingame stuff takes ages to load. Any fixes? I am playing on EU servers.

P.S. the internet is always 200-300+ mbps so no issues there.

Thanks for any tips/
