Hey everyone,
I’m in a really weird situation with an internal transfer and a Personal Leave of Absence (PLOA) and honestly just need some reassurance because I am incredibly stressed out right now.
Basically, back in March/early April, I put in a request for a 2-week PLOA. A couple of weeks ago, I interviewed and officially accepted an offer for a T3 RME Tech role. I even got internal transfer email updates on May 12 before my PLOA (May 15 - May 28) saying my internal transfer was being processed. My leave dates are May 15 to May 28, and I am currently out of state on my approved leave right now.

Since the new job had an original start date of May 24, I reached out to HR today to see if I could just end my leave early and go back to work. The first HR rep I talked to (an HR Administrator) said no because of the strict 15-day minimum rule for a PLOA. She said if they changed my return date, it would break the system constraint and screw up the whole leave. So, my leave officially has to end on May 28, meaning May 29 is the absolute earliest I can start.

The HR Admin literally wrote in my case notes: "I confirmed that your transfer will still go through despite being on leave, explained that system updates are paused during leave periods."
But then she transferred me to a phone agent to try and get my schedule. The associate sounded foreign and was very hard to understand. He looked at my profile, saw my status says "Inactive" because of the leave, and told me my transfer might not even go through or could get canceled because I'm inactive. I am so worried that the system is going to automatically cancel everything.

From what I understand, since I accepted the offer and got the email updates saying it was processing, the contract should be locked in. The system just freezes your A to Z app and blocks updates while you are inactive, but it shouldn't delete a signed offer.
Because my app is completely blank and won't update until May 28, I have no idea what my actual shift pattern or days are. I ended up bypassing the MyHR phone line entirely and emailed my new RME manager directly to see if they can just look at their roster and tell me my schedule manually

Title: I got the interview!

Hi All!

I just got invited to interview for an RME Technician (Tech 1) position at Amazon and I’m honestly really excited about it. This is kind of a dream opportunity for me and I really want to make the most of it.

I’m 21 and have some hands on experience working as a technician under an engineer in agricultural engineering, so I’m not completely new, but I know Amazon interviews can be pretty intense. I’ve been reading up on the STAR method since I know that’s a big part of their process.

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through this interview or works in RME and could share some advice. What kind of questions did they ask? What should I focus on when preparing? Any tips on how to stand out would mean a lot.

I’ve got about a week before my interview expires so I’m trying to lock in and prepare the best I can. Appreciate any help 🙏
