[all] What are some of your OCs with lesser known or uncommon godly parents?

I'm currently writing a fic with a secret society of demigods and legacies, mostly of minor gods and other pantheons that became public after the Second Titan War. I also play with the idea of gods favoring bloodlines and basically divinely double dipping (The Chases and Frank Zhang, for example) so a lot of legacies and demigods there also have mixed heritage.

What are some of your uncommon, lesser known, or unexplored pantheon OCs and a few things about them/their powers? I kinda wanna envision some in the background of the Institute and also study you guys' OCs.

One of my mixed heritage kids is a daughter of Benzaiten and a descendant of Hades, while another is descended from Hecate and the son of Morpheus!

Writing a fic centering a child of Venus who’s descended from Hades!

This is Aiya Shizume. She is fifteen years old, Japanese, and a Pisces. She comes from a long line of wealthy and infamous monster hunters. Long ago, she was given a prophecy and told her that she was to be the glory for her family. Aiya made that her life’s mission, so now she’s unraveling exactly what it means. She’s realizing it might just have something to do with that strange duo of demigods who arrived at her boarding school yesterday…

Writing a fanfic centering a child of Neptune

Raquel Ramirez (15) has been hidden from the world of the gods all her life, both physically and magically. When the protection keeping her hidden is broken, Raquel is forced head first into the world of the gods. She is hunted, captured, and immediately expected to be the hero of the story. Raquel, however, just wants to play her gameboy and look at pretty girls. But when her grandmother gives her a golden gladius and tells her to accept her destiny, Raquel has no choice. Besides, her emotions have began making earthquakes. She had no idea that was a part of puberty.

Looking for some beta readers!

I’m writing a fic about a new ‘camp’ that raises legacies and demigods into super weapons. It is psychologically charged and morally gray. It takes place after the second Titan war and centers three entirely new characters, including a secret child of the big three. I have 12 chapter posted and really really would like feedback or thoughts about how the characters and setting feels!

My Trio!!!! [all]

I’ve finally gotten them visualized! The Heir of Hecate is an AU introducing all new characters, an all new setting, and an all new approach to the effects humanity has on the divine.

Ask me anything about them, I’d love to answer some questions :,)

Looking for beta readers for my AU!

Hi! I recently released the first ten chapters of my heroes of Olympus fanfic, the Heir of Hecate. It is an AU where the gods organize 'selective breeding' of demigods and legacies to do their bidding, forming an organization called the Institute. The Institute is home to Roman and Greek lineage alike, as well as the occasional Norse or Japanese lineage. The Institute functions as a secret society that bridges major cities in America.

As far as the AU, there is no real connections to the main cast and plots of HoO besides all heroes around the world feeling the stirring of Gaea. I introduce a new set of characters, an all new setting, and a slightly different power scale. As an enjoyer of philosophy, I incorporate Nature v Nurture in the manifestation of divine powers meaning the demigod or legacy's power progression depends on their lived experience.

Someone please read my psychologically charged fic, I'll p-a-y even 🥹 It is book one in a three book series, stylized like the Heroes of Olympus and takes place shortly after the events of PJO!

Weaponry and Monsters [all]

Many of the heroes we see sport swords. Annabeth also claims that 'swords are better', but I believe ranged weapons would be the most efficient against most monsters. Demigods have human bodies, so using close range weapons is much more risky than a spear, polearm, bow and arrow, or throwing weapons. Dagger wielders have gotta be the most foolish (or prideful, if you're Annabeth). We also don't usually see demigods with backup weapons despite the high risk of losing their weapons in a fight. If you have OCs, what weapons do they use? I have a character who cares a lot about battle efficiency and has a wealthy and connected family, so she was able to get her hands on several enchanted weapons.
