Every year the dutch organise a big cycling event to fundraise money for cancer research and this year I have a dream.

Alpe d'HuZes is coming up again, and the question is always how to raise money. Are we going to hold a service-auctions again? Are we going to bake oliebollen (Dutch New Years Tradition) and sell them? No, because this year I have a dream! I want to become 'The Euroknaller of the Alp'!

The dream/challenge is simple. I want to become the cyclist who has received the most 1-euro donations of all the participants taking part in Alpe d'HuZes.
After all, everyone has a euro they can spare for a good cause. He who does not appreciate the small things is not worthy of the big things, and there are many other sayings I could type here. Will you help me realize this dream? Sharing is nice, donating is better ❤️

So, if you want to donate 2 or more euros, do it in donations of 1 euro.

The deal,

For every 1,000 euros raised in 1 euro donations, I will cycle up the Alpe d'Huez once. Important in this context are the 1 euro donations.

The promise

So if I raise more than 6,000 one euro donations, then I have to climb that mountain more than 6 times. So 10,000 euros is climbing the mountain 10 times. 1.000.000 (that would of course be completely bizarre, but certainly very funny). I will be going up the mountain 1.000 times, and that is a promise!

Is this a completely nonsensical idea? Yes, perhaps it is.

But how awesome would it be if it works!
