Vocal chord dysfunction mimics asthma

So I been drinking apple cider vinegar daily for a year. I had a horrible immune system prior, like I mean I was sick with a cold or flu or even pneumonia (2 or 3 times a yr) 3 weeks of every single month for about a yr and a half. I read on reddit that someone drank 1 tbs of it in water everyday and it changed their life. So on the 1 week I wasnt sick I drank it in a big glass of water and started doing a daily walk. The 2nd week I didnt get sick. The 3rd week I still wasnt sick. I made it almost 2 months without being sick and when I finally did catch a sickness I was contemplating if I even was sick!! It was so minor like a slight cough, or a tickle in my throat. About 2 months after that I actually caught a real flu or cold but it only lasted about a week and I was still able to do my daily stuff and take care of my kids where as before I was basically bed ridden. Anyways fast forward to the end of May this year. I start having breathing problems (I have asthma) I also have a really bad stomach hernia from having my kids) the hernia causes acid reflux and many other issues pertaining to food intake. So anyways I went to the hospital because my asthma inhalers weren't working and I was struggling to breathe. The hospital jacked me up with inhalers and tried to give me a med called prednisone (which I cannot take because I was supposed to have my hernia surgery in July and I cant be on this med 12 months before surgery as it weakens the skin tissue, and lungs and bones) anyways the hospital sent me on my way cuz they said the only thing they can do is give me Inhalers and prednisone which I refused. I left feeling the same as when I went in. They put in a referral for a respirologist. No one contacted me, so 2 days later I went to a walk in. Finally found a dr that actually listened to me. I showed him my hospital tests (they ran bloodwork ecg and xray, which all came bk normal) so walk in dr was like let me refer u to my friend who is a respirologist. I got seen the following week. I did an asthma breathing test of them bith in his office results were normal. He asked if I went anywhere new or was around anyone new. I said the only new place I was going was to a food bank (financial hardships suck) he told me to stop going there. Told me to literally figure out another alternative 🙄 cuz thats most likely the trigger. He than started talking about something called VCD (vocal chord dysfunction) and that the only treatment is breathing exercises. I said i was familiar with it as i read about it while figuring out my asthma issue. guess whats known to be a trigger or cause of it...yup apple cider vinegar. Taking it daily for over a yr even in diluted form damages your vocal chords. VCD is very hard to diagnose because it mimics asthma the only way for it to be tested is if ur having an attack and they put a camera down ur throat during the attack otherwise it doesnt show up on any test. So me trying to better my immune and life, messed me me up in the long.

I hateeee asthma prednisone and hernias

Meh the warmer temps with the colder temps, and the pollen that I didn't know i was possibly allergic to set off early signs of an asthma attack. I went to the er and they jacked me up on inhalers , and got mad at meeee cuz I refused to take the prednisone (I cant take the med cuz of an upcoming surgery) so I left the hospital literally feeling the same and then ended up at walk in clinic a couple days later as i was getting worse. where they still gave me the prednisone but at a lower dosage and even thou i said i couldnt take it they said theres nothing else to do except try random inhalers and i needed relief...and now I have all the side effects of said prednisone (mood swings, facial twitching, memory loss, slurred speech, hot flashes in hands amd feet, jittery af, insomnia, hunger) those are just what I can remember. Needless to say that my surgery has to be postponed. I was also supposed to do a colonoscopy/endoscopy and ct scan to prepare for sugery. Its a stomach hernia re-repair so its an open surgery that would take about 6 hrs.  I was told to stay off prednisone for a yr minimum cuz it weakens ur skin tissue lungs and bones and everything. This stupid hernia has fucking impacted my life so much for 3 or 4 years now I get random 8 hr pain at night if I eat gluten or anything past 2pm so I started fasting so I dont eat. I got to the point where i dont try new foods cuz I dont want 8 hrs of pain and our hospital wait times are like 9 hrs cuz I went to er for thr pain and waited so long that I ended up leaving b4 seeing anyone and just learned to adjust. I eat the same shit every day. Anyways so now I saw a lung specialist yesterday and he actually listened to me!!!!!. Didn't just throw a shit ton of inhalers my way or more prednisone, which has happened before. Hes not even sure if I have asthma now cuz I dont wheeze but I have chest tightness. He said to immediately stop the prednisone and was pissed off FOR ME that thats all the drs wanted to do. So his referral to north York general hospital (which is welcome news cuz im sooo very tired of scarb general referral as I find the drs do not care)  sounds promising for an asthma test and he thinks I have something called VCD something to do with the vocal chords. Ironically I was reading about that and tried the exercises and he was impressed cuz its not well known and its super hard to get diagnosed cuz it mimics asthma so well. So hopefully in 4 weeks I get some results and some relief. Postponing the surgery sucks balls but I guess at least if I can breathe a bit better that will be a win. He also gave me a new inhaler its the one with the pill in the machine that pinches it and u breathe it in (breezhaler) so yea thats my rant... Hope everyone has an awesome day
