Megablast dead after 300km?
Hi all,
I just wanted to put my experience out there and ask if anyone else has experienced this.
I picked up a set of megablasts as pictured about 3 months ago, and fell in love with them as soon as I got them. I chose them for 2 things, firstly feeling fast and bouncy, and secondly the fact that people claimed amazing longevity.
I used these as my daily trainers in my marathon prep from about half way through my plan and for the first 300km they felt amazing. But a few weeks before my race I did notice they started to feel a bit flatter. I put this down to them settling in. Since my race I’ve done a further 80km in them and have really noticed them feeling flat and lifeless, there’s no pop left in the shoe.
I just really wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen also, or if it’s just me?
Context - Male 25, 73kg, ran my first marathon in 3:37 in a metaspeed edge, averaging about 30km/ week since my race.
