Hi, Please help! I have a 5 year old male guinea pig that just got back from the emergency vet, They said he has a pretty big stone that has a high chance of not passing through. They said surgery probably isn’t a good choice because the success rate for him living through surgery is very low. I am trying to syringe him some water and also i mixed his pellets with warm water to syringe that to him aswell since he won’t really eat or drink on his own. The vet gave me 2 anti inflammatory meds to give him daily over the next 2 weeks but that would only help him be comfortable and not in a lot of pain, But after those 2 weeks the vet said i should probably make an appointment to have him be put down. i want to do everything i can to get it to pass and not have to put him down. what can i do for him to help have it pass and in general help him?? I understand that he has a low chance i just want to help him in every way i can before these 2 weeks end since after the 2 weeks i’ll probably have to make that appointment for him to be put down:(. please help!!!
