I have a 5 y/o guinea pig, recently her fur changed colour. Initially she was very white in colour, now brown fur is growing on her back and face. Not sure if this is normal. I did bathe her to see if the colour is just dirt, it’s not. Can someone give me some good advice?

my boy is on round two of antibiotics for a respiratory infection but I was wondering if this is what people mean when they say a guinea pig has hunched posture. I’ve never known what that looks like so I was wondering if this is that or not. thanks!

We had them for 2 weeks. He screams when I scoop him up. Hates it. Already ordered a fleece tunnel for better pick up. I have another one that tolerates being picked up more.

But once on my lap this one lays down and kind of snuggles down even more when I pet behind his ears. Idk if he loves it or just wants to disappear into the pillow?

He does eat here and there but mainly stays on the pillow and doesn't walk off.

I have two guinea pigs and got a bigger cage that sits on the floor. I’m trying to get something that is multiple levels and isn’t on the floor. I like the CC cages but they are so expensive. Has anyone built one and just bought the liner and ramp? Or does anyone have a cute hutch to one they can recommend? I don’t want to buy something I hate or isn’t good so any suggestions would be so so helpful! Posting my Guinea’s because they are cute! ❤️

We’ve tried basically everything to get rid of the gnats. We don’t leave dry hay around, the bedding isn’t wet, and we change it daily. But they’re STILL everywhere.We don’t want to get rid of our animals... obviously, but these gnats are driving me and my fiancé up the wall.What has actually helped you get rid of gnats? We’re at our limit over here.

I would greatly appreciate any advice to deal with this loss.

This was the last photo I took of my sweet hammy. She was very young and suffered from bronchitis, she was very eager and happy every day despite her sickness. She passed away less than 2 hours ago. I'm not even sure how her sister is feeling, I changed everything in the cage to try to remove the scent so her sister isn't confused or sad. When I put her back in her cage she popcorned. I'll try to get a new guinea pig soon so she doesn't get depressed.

The moment I had walked to their cage I saw hammy just lying down facing the other side, I had an odd feeling and called her name because that's how she would lift her head and stand up and come to me, but she didn't, I pet her head and she still didn't respond so sadly after picking her up I knew she had died. Her sister was in front of her but I honestly didn't really pay attention to what her sister was doing.
