TN vs. Blaise Taylor - Verdict Projections?
For starters, the defense attorney’s contradictions are LAUGHABLE. I can only hope the jury sees right through them. At the beginning, the defense was all about: "Poor Blaise just had no idea... Jade was sleeping with other men and didn't know who the father was, so she just picked him." Now, the story has shifted to: "Blaise is free to date and sleep with whoever he wants because they weren't exclusive." So, he gets a pass for his h*e behavior, but Jade is expected to be pure as snow. Ew, it's giving red pill.
What disturbed me most, even from a pro psych perspective, was that text exchange where Blaise gives Jade a "moral lecture" on responsibility. This dynamic didn't make him look like he was "keeping it real". It made him look cowardly as he attempted to manipulate her stance. This is grooming 101. By shooting down her excitement about traveling with him and remaining stone-cold, he was training her to stop asking rather than being honest about his feelings for her. We’ve seen this pattern before... much like the stone-cold text exchanges Chris Watts used with his wife. These behaviors aren't random. They are HUGE red flags. Psychological games are often subtle, and the only thing Jade MAY have done wrong was wanting the relationship so bad to overlook signs that should have been major warnings regarding her safety. This "responsibility" act is just a performance and was means to an end for him.
It is a terrible look for a defense attorney to try & pedestal their client above the victim. That shady side dig, "Men who are about their business want women who are about their business," was insulting to the victim and her family. No woman who is about her business wants a serial impregnator who brings this much drama into their life. He is not a prize, and even setting aside the heinous nature of these charges, he’s barely a 5 on his best day. Calm down, and PLEASE stop gassing this dude up like he's a "catch".
