Wanted to post this in case anyone else is stressing about sending additional passport documents!
Of note, I had already paid to do expedited processing + paid for 1–2 day shipping since my trip is 5/14.
3/26/2026: went to usps appointment sent in application
3/31/2026: application was received, in process
4/6/2026: additional information was requested (had an issue with my birth certificate and had to send another copy)
4/13/2026: took about a week my time to get everything together but this is when I shipped the information via UPS ground
4/16/2026: UPS said it was delivered to the agency and someone signed for it
4/24/2026: checked the status and it finally updated to in process again and additional documents were received
4/27/2026: checked the status online and said my passport was shipped!
I was super stressed when there were no updates for days after delivery of my additional documents based on things I heard, but once they matched my documents, it was a super fast turn around! Hope this helps someone out :)
