Need advice regarding possible consumer/legal action involving a venue
We experienced multiple operational issues during the event, including:
- ongoing setup while guests were already arriving
- insufficient water/welcome drinks during cocktail hour
- missing approved cocktail tables and seating arrangements
- parking concerns affecting VIP guests and seniors
- delayed technical readiness and multiple technical issues during the program
The issues were documented through:
- CCTV footage provided by the venue
- approved layouts
- supplier confirmations
- guest feedback/messages
- formal meeting discussions with management
We already attempted to resolve the matter professionally through meetings and formal emails. However, the venue’s proposed resolution felt disproportionate to the extent of the documented operational issues experienced during the event.
Would this realistically be worth pursuing through a lawyer or DTI complaint, or would factual public reviews be the more practical route at this stage?
