I’m currently locked out of my X account u/Matthias_Oel and I honestly don’t know what else to try.
The issue started around April 20, 2026. Whenever I try to log in, X tells me that I need to verify my email address first.
The problem is: the email verification does not work.
When I click the button to send/complete the verification, I either get a technical error or nothing happens. I do not receive the verification email, so I cannot complete the process and I’m stuck in a loop.
What makes it even more frustrating is that I do have access to the email address connected to the account. I can even reset my password successfully through that email. But after resetting the password, I still cannot log in because X again asks me to verify my email, and that step keeps failing.
Things I already tried:
- different browsers
- different devices
- desktop and mobile
- different networks
- waiting and trying again later
- password reset
- filling out multiple X support forms
- contacting X support / access support
- contacting Premium support from another account
None of this helped.
Every time I fill out the form I’m told to use, I only receive an automated/AI response saying that I need to verify my email. But that is exactly the problem: I can’t verify it because the verification flow seems to be broken.
I’m also a Premium subscriber on the locked account, so I’m paying for something I currently cannot access.
Has anyone here had the same issue and actually managed to get a human review or get the account restored?
Any tips would be really appreciated.
