PC drops to 1-5 frames, freezes, then restarts
Hey guys, I’m having issues with my 1-2 month old PC that I built. It doesn’t matter if I’m gaming or if I’m watching something on a web browser, the entire PC will randomly drop to 5 frames, suddenly freeze, then restart itself.
There are times where it will drop to 5 frames, then suddenly go back to normal. This is especially when playing Minecraft. I will be at a high framerate and then suddenly drop to like 5-15 frames and then I’d have to hope that it doesn’t freeze and restart.
I found that on Event Viewer I got a 41 Kernel Power critical error.
When the issue happens, my CPU and GPU aren’t overheating, my RAM isn’t exceeding 32GB or anything, and I even tested all the components on OCCT for an hour each (idk if that’s enough or not) with zero errors.

- 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 RAM @6000MHz
- PCCOOLER CPS YN850
- 2TB SSD
- MSI PRO B850M-VC WIFI6E
It’s getting really annoying as I really wanna fix this. Any advice would be appreciated!
