Automation gives my weekends back

Work and taking care of the kids already keep me busy enough, and somehow most of my weekends still end up being spent on house chores. I’ve been trying to automate as much of it as possible. So far:

  • We use a robot vacuum for the floors. I usually run it on weekends and only have to empty the dust bin occasionally.
  • I set up an automatic wash and dry cycle, so it runs whenever I load the laundry. Everything goes from hamper to fully dried without me touching it.

Any other automation tips that actually save time?

Got $700 for a robot vacuum. Which one should I pick?

Hey everyone, I have a budget of about $700 and have been researching a few robot vacuums in that price range. After comparing several models, these are the ones I’m currently interested in:

  • Roborock Qrevo S Pro: 18,500Pa suction, 167℉ self-cleaning mop, smart obstacle avoidance, multifunction dock, anti-tangle brush, $699
  • Mova V50 Ultra Complete: 24,000Pa suction, 176℉ hot water mop self-cleaning + fast hot air drying, zero-tangle dual brush, 2.28-inch obstacle crossing, FlexiRise navigation, $699
  • Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2: 25,000Pa suction, extendable side brush and mop, all-in-one self-emptying and cleaning dock, voice + app control, $649

My home is mostly hardwood floors with a few low-pile rugs. There are a lot of pet hair, dust, food crumbs, and human hair on the floor. Cleaning performance is probably my top priority.

With prices this close, should I just go for the one with the highest suction, or does that not really make much difference in real-world use?
