I went to the DMV today for a real ID so I can fly for my job.
I was told my BC wasn’t acceptable since it was issued back in the 80’s. I was also told that my original BC wasn’t acceptable either.
I was born on a military base in Puerto Rico. Both parents are US citizens. My roots go back to the founding of Delaware.
Apparently there was a law passed that anyone born in Puerto Rico prior to sometime in 2010, needs a new BC.
I’ll be sending a copy of my new BC to whoever sent those letters last summer. I feel like this could be a loophole where they disqualify me from voting in the midterms.
I wonder how many people aren’t aware of this issue.
