Is this a pet?
My S340 discovered a wall lamp mounted behind it and got scared. It took over a year for it to notice it. I would reassure it that it's not a pet, but the feedback goes to a central server for future products and not back to my scared camera. Good camera. You'll be fine.
Is this a human?
I always get a a kick out of this. No matter how many times I tell Eufy it's a inflatable sock, it still asks if this is a human.

If Eufy used a more capable model, it might actually live up to advertised expectations.
Third time in 30 days
This camera is located at a corner of the garage with a clear view of the sky. The solar cell (PV) panel is angled appropriately to catch the afternoon sun. The S340 worked well for over a year and then this started happening.
Firmware version is 3.3.3.8, same as the other S340s that don't do this.
Eufy says to check USB connection, remove, reset and reinstall. I think it's more than that. The battery level self-recovers after the cam loses all power, turns off and turns itself back on.
What in the world is happening to this S340?
What is the manufacturing defect causing these power drains? This camera is 19 months old.
I wiggled and R&R the solar PV panel the first time. Otherwise I just wait for it to self-correct.
