AITA for telling my wife her friend kinda looks like Sydney Sweeney?
The other day I watched The housemaid with my wife and after the movie was over I was discussing it with her. I said to her “she kinda reminds you of [wife’s friend] don’t you think? She was like wdym, I said well she looks like her similar appearance and all.
She took it completely the wrong way. She basically interpreted as mr saying her friend was sexually attractive which is not at all what I said. She was all like oh why don’t you just say she’s hot and has big tits I was like wtf what’s gotten into you. She was acting like I basically said I want to fck her friend.
I told her Sweeney isn’t even my type, she was like that’s BS she’s everyone’s type. I said even if her friend was conventionally attractive from an objective perspective it doesn’t mean I have a thing for her. She was like oh so you basically admit she’s sexy.
I got super defensive and angry too, I was like she’s not my type, you’re my type, I’m into women that look like you. All I did was point out a harmless celebrity comparison. She was like ok then what celebrity do I look like. I said off the top of my head Jennie from Blackpink cause she does sorta look like her. She called me racist and was all like “oh I look nothing like her!!” But to me I see an uncanny resemblance.
Her friend was over the next day and my wife was being all snarky like watch out for him he thinks ur a 10/10. I said that’s not at all what I fucking said all I said was she looks like the actress Sydney Sweeney, we had a big shouting match right in front of her friend.
Her friend sided with me and was like she’s gotten that before, but she doesn’t see it herself she just thinks it’s cause of her hair and body. I said whatever they’re making a big deal out of nothing, friend agreed with me and then later said to me privately it’s ok if you think I’m hot just look after your wife, you can look at other women but you can’t touch, take care of her feelings, she’s really sweet we etc etc etc and I was like yeah ofc I know she’s MY wife you don’t need to lecture me about her. Like you don’t need to be all condescending to me and talk down to me about my own marriage
