My new Canyon!

Finally pulled the trigger on buying one of these! I was actually going to buy a bronco before a coworker suggested the canyon instead, and I’m so happy he did. 2026 AT4 fully loaded. Loving the red color!! 🥹

How Rhode has impacted me

🚨WARNING: Incredibly long and sappy post ahead!!🚨

I work a blue-collar job in a very male dominated industry, and after almost 5 years in it, it’s hard not to start feeling a little “hardened.” Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with my feminine side because I got so used to being in survival mode at work and trying to fit in with my coworkers in order to be taken seriously.

Up until November 2025, I honestly hadn’t paid much attention to Rhode (I wish I did because I would absolutely sell my soul for the cinnamon roll lippie). I can’t even remember what finally influenced me, but one night at work I gave in and ordered the vanilla peptide lip treatment and the rest is history!

I know this sounds crazy, but I genuinely feel like Rhode brought back a version of myself that I really missed. Not because the products magically changed my life (lowkey they did tho lol), but because they made me start caring about myself again, both in and outside of work, instead of only focusing on exhausting myself at my job and watering myself down to fit in with my male counterparts.

And I’m not even gonna lie, I feel like an absolute baddie pulling out one of my lip treatments at work 😂I can’t fully explain why, but it reminds me that while I’m out here representing the roughly 14% of women in the construction industry, I don’t have to hide my femininity to belong here. I can work hard, hold my own, and still enjoy the things that make me feel soft and confident.

My first vanilla lippie is almost empty now, and she has definitely seen better days. Hell, she’s seen the inside of a freaking steel mill 😂. Even though I already have a backup ready to go (along with my other 14 lippies lol), this tube will always be special to me. It reminds me to always be myself and never feel like I have to hide parts of who I am just to fit in or be taken seriously.

I know at the end of the day it’s just a brand and I may get called parasocial for this post (I don’t blame you if you do lol) but I think a lot of us have attached little pieces of ourselves and our confidence to this brand in one way or another, and I think that’s really special❤️

Anyway, if you’ve made it this far with my rambling, thank you❤️😅 And thank you all for creating such a fun and comforting community. This sub has genuinely become such a positive space for me. I’d love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience with Rhode! (Please, I feel like a crazy person for this post🥲).
