UPDATE: You guys have been awesome and helped me a ton (Got DMs giving advice)! So I just wanted to update on how it's going - I've got an offer for $41K on a summit white; the sticker price was $46k for an elevation trim with convenience package + assistance steps add on + a leveling kit thrown in after I showed them quotes from other places, I also got them to increase the value of my trade in. I'm waiting to hear back from the other financing manager but they said they're willing to match and absorb the cost of the Coastal dune fee as well a majority of a leveling kit for their model. Looks like I'll be joining the GMC family, thanks again for all of y'alls advice!
Hi guys,
Run down: AT4 w/ Tech package vs loaded up Elevation
I've been shopping around dealers and got 2 offers that I think are good compared to the others in my area. Any thoughts on which is better in general or if I'm not even realizing that I can get them cheaper if I keep looking elsewhere? Either way I'd just love to hear your thoughts on either trim level
Just brought home my new 2026 Canyon on Saturday, get it home and saw this (the CANYON is not centered under the GMC) and now I can’t unsee it.
How do I go about fixing it?
Title mostly covers it. I have a ‘25 Canyon AT4 and installed the aftermarket amber switchback DRLs from Venom a couple months ago. They’ve always sort of flickered when unlocking my car but it seems like it’s getting more scattered(?) over time. I understand with aftermarket parts it won’t be as flush when unlocking the car as the stock setup. Just curious if I installed something incorrectly? Or anyone else has noticed and found a fix?
Thanks!
Monday morning commute to work, 55-60 mph, hardly any traffic. Perfect conditions.

Just got our new truck last week and had it ceramic coated today. We wanted to ppf the front but it was just out of our budget. The ceramic should help protect the clear coat while sitting outside in the Texas sun. It definitely looks much shinier in person after the coating. It was tough to find a good deal on this color so we want to keep it looking good as long as we can. We love the ride so far!
Important: Dealer said he would remove the $499 charge (ceramic tint warranty) if I purchase the vehicle.
Updated my 26 AT4X with the 663.30 software this weekend. A few posters had mentioned an improved throttle response post update.
I noted this as well- on the first drive post update, the truck felt significantly more aggressive. Immediate shove on light throttle. Fairly impressed.
However, while there's still a slight overall improvement, that initial sharp (fun) edge is now mostly gone. Drove 40 miles to work this morning, and while it's better than it was before, it's still very tame. Not necessarily a problem, but it got me thinking.
Years ago I got a Cobb tuner for my Ecoboost Mustang (6spd) that I briefly owned before trading it in on a GT. Anyway, I flashed the car with the tune Cobb provided, and took it out for a test drive. It absolutely *ripped*. Like hilariously fun to drive. Just crazy aggressive power everywhere. I remember thinking "why bother with the GT?" Parked it, grinning ear to ear. Next drive, completely different car. Mellow, soft, slightly better than stock but nowhere near as thrilling to drive as the day before.
Called a well respected tuner for these cars and he basically said the tune file effectively booted torque management temporarily. I didn't even know what that was at the time. He gave me some additional tune files to data log against, he reviewed them and said everything looked good. I just could never get that raw aggressive feel back.
After I updated my truck, that's the initial feeling I got from it. An instant, willing, sharp response.
Now that's it's back to baseline, even if slightly improved, I'm wondering if the torque management is just super heavy handed on these trucks. After getting a brief glimpse of how the 2.7 can feel, it's difficult to ignore. Livernois talks a lot about how their tune isn't just about peak gains, it's about refining driveability as well.
TL/DR: I suspect the 2.7 Turbomax engine's personality is being held hostage by overly aggressive torque management and trans tuning focused on longevity and fuel economy. (Might be a common sentiment.)
Had a first gen 2004 Colorado for 19 years. Sold it to get my wife a '23 Terrain. Now that we paid that off it's my turn. Looking at either a 26 Canyon Denali or well equipped AT4. I may wait for the 27 models to hit the lots to try for leftover prices. I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long? Time will tell.
I'm driving a 2010 Tacoma with 54K on it. Runs excellent but it's time to upgrade. Probably sell it privately because I know I'll get low balled on a trade in. Either way I'm hoping to have the new Canyon in my garage within the next few months.
Just rolled last night
2.8 Duramax
Already replaced the front struts and the rear leafs have seen better days. Shes MINT tho.
I'm parked and not sure who/what hits my vehicle. I filed a claim on my insurance but I think I won't accept the offer. I just thought that it will increase my insurance premium. 2nd is that deductible is $2k. Lastly, I the resale value will decrease if I file a claim right? Any input is welcome. I just bought this 2026 GMC canyon elevation fully loaded this April :) Thanks in advance!
Just picked up my 2026 AT4. Had the 2018 SLT and traded it in back in '23 for a Acadia AT4 as I got over half back for a 5.5 year old truck. Getting used to the turbo four sound but per specs it's got better HP and torque than the 2018 V6.
TLDR, Love it! Glad to be back!
