Venom Amber switchback DRLs fluttering when unlocking the truck

Title mostly covers it. I have a ‘25 Canyon AT4 and installed the aftermarket amber switchback DRLs from Venom a couple months ago. They’ve always sort of flickered when unlocking my car but it seems like it’s getting more scattered(?) over time. I understand with aftermarket parts it won’t be as flush when unlocking the car as the stock setup. Just curious if I installed something incorrectly? Or anyone else has noticed and found a fix?

Thanks!

Need your best recommendations for carry-on luggage that my wife will actually want to use

Title says it all - going to Europe for three weeks from late September to early October. We will be traveling through to about 5 different cities so we need to be fairly mobile and I would love to not have to roll a big suitcase down cobble roads. I need some top tier suggestions I can present as options

What’s one thing you regret not doing sooner / or doing differently when you first got your truck? ⬇️⬇️

For me: I wish I didn’t just buy upgraded tires to put on the stock wheels. Now I feel like I’m inclined to wear down the tires I bought before changing. Should’ve just ponied up and got new wheels and tires from the start

How to turn off Rear Seat Notification

Heyo - sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to search the feed but didn’t see any results.

Has anyone been able to figure out or know if it’s possible to disable the notification reminding me to check my rear seat once I get to my destination after previously opening up one of the rear doors?

Drives me crazy and not sure where to look for in settings

AI for debt pay off schedule

Has anyone used an AI engine to create a debt payment schedule? If so, what prompts did you use? I have a couple thousand dollars in CC debt I want to pay off by end of August and could use the structure

Account number doesn’t matchup

So this is a bit of a weird one..

My fiancee and I just got a joint Amex and when setting it up I was able to add my bank account that is linked to my other Amex cards without an issue. Well I just paid the first bill on the card on Monday and as of Wednesday the payment was accepted through Amex but was not charged to my bank.

Upon further inspection, the last four of the account number that is linked to the new card is not the last four of my only checking account (Chase). I never manually entered in my bank info, just clicked the box for the checking account that was already in my Amex profile. So, thinking I accidentally paid with my fiancée’s account I had her check her Amex app, and to find out her account number also didn’t match her Chase checking account (she linked hers through plaid during the default setup since it’s her first Amex).

Some research online said that it’s possible Chase uses a faux account number on joint/linked cards to protect the users data. However, that just doesn’t seem all that plausible since it was just the last four of the account number showing, and the money hadn’t been pulled yet from Chase.

As much as I’d like a free $2500 I want to make sure I’m not at fault here for anything serious? I didn’t do anything wrong, just linked the checking account like normal. I haven’t spent the money that would be used to pay off the card and am expecting still for my checking account to get drawn for the balance.

Am I missing something here??

Passport safety

I’m going to Vegas in a couple weeks and don’t have my physical DL/ID. I am going to the DMV this week to get a new one but don’t think I’ll get it in time before my trip. I have my passport but am nervous about carrying it around. I’m sure I’m not alone here with this predicament. Anyone have any good ideas on how to keep it with me safely? I’m a male so I don’t keep a purse on me

What’s realistic for me?

In a land with infinite peer comparison it is hard to know where I stand.

I’m a 28M living in SoCal, working a sales job and holding a state college bachelors degree. I’ve been able to save on my own to about 170k in my 401k and 90k in an individual brokerage. I do have a car payment but other than that no other debts and I rent my house.

Eventually I want to be able to comfortably live off of my investment income and quit the rat race.

I wanna know - how far along am I? Does this sound like I’m on track? Or do I need to hit the gas and ramp up my investments even more? I’m not necessarily frugal - but I spend after I save.

SR-22 filing

What is the benefit of getting the SR-22 filing done outside of my primary auto insurance carrier?

I just realized my insurance company never sent my request through. So I’m back to square one. Should I go back to my primary provider or get SR-22 filing coverage done from an external insurance company?

Should I make the switch?

Currently driving a 2025 GMC Canyon AT4 but debating selling it and stacking away some money rather than continuing a big car payment every month (28M). I like the 3rd gen 4Runners for the reliability and capability off-road. I just started looking but how’s this price for a ‘99 limited 4wd? I’m not sure at all what the market is like on them.

Also - is the “moonroof inoperability” a bigger cause for concern? Any help is appreciated

Smart Start or LifeSafer

From what I’ve read online the installer is more important than the actual company i go through for the IID. I found a credible installer that does both Smart Start and LifeSafer. I am leaning towards Smart Start but just want to make sure I’m not making a mistake.

Anyone have good or bad stories for either?

I will need to decide whether to get the IID installed in my car for 6 months or serve out the 12-month work restricted license agreement without an IID. This is my first offense so I have no clue what to do. I’ve heard the IIDs are expensive and can be a real pain in the ass so I am leaning towards applying for the work day restricted license. Any experiences to be shared to help me make a decision are appreciated.

I work in outside sales so I need to drive around during the day for meetings. Will I be able to perform my job responsibilities with the 12-month restriction?

Chat GPT can only get me so far, has anyone powder-coated their stock rims black (or any color for that matter)? If so, what’d you think and drop some pics!

I don’t want to spend the money on upgrading my wheels right now and figure this could be a good middle ground. Not a huge fan of the sliver sections on the current stock rims..

Already did tires and level kit
