AI affected my wife’s writing career. So we used the same AI to build her dream business
My wife is a content writer and editor.
Like many others in creative fields, she started feeling the impact of AI. Work became uncertain. Opportunities started changing. The same technology everyone was excited about started feeling like a threat to her career.
As her husband, it was painful to watch.
But one day we asked ourselves:
If AI can take away opportunities, can it also help us create one?
That question led us to build something of our own.
We had:
No business background
No big budget
No ready brand
No design team
No marketing agency
No vendor network
Just an empty shop, a dream, and the courage to try.
So we used AI as our planning partner.
AI helped us with:
Market research
Brand name and logo ideas
Menu planning
Interior theme
Poster designs
Pricing thoughts
Vendor research
Cost estimation
Negotiation preparation
Do’s and don’ts for first-time startup owners
Before speaking to carpenters, painters, false ceiling workers, electricians, lighting vendors, and branding partners, AI helped us understand approximate costs, material options, and the right questions to ask.
That gave us confidence.
Slowly, a rough empty space became a premium-looking ice cream outlet.
And more importantly, fear became hope.
Today, we are building our shop as:
Bengaluru’s first completely AI-sourced and AI-partnered ice cream outlet
It is called Blue Penguin Ice Cream, RR Nagar, Bengaluru.
For us, this is more than a shop.
It is a reminder that AI may disrupt careers, but it can also help create new ones — if we learn to use it with courage, creativity, and purpose.
What started as uncertainty for my wife’s career became her new beginning.
And as a husband, that means everything.
