Decided I’d share my most notable and favorite campaigns with you all
With the release of roads to power on console, downloading the dlc might break my old saves, so I decided that I’d share them while I still can(sorry for the bad pictures). Going in order of when I started them, I’m sharing some of my notable and favorite runs.
My first ever run I started as the count of morgannwg in wales. I was completely new and didn’t pay attention to the tutorial, so I didn’t know about cultural traditions, innovations, or dynasty legacies. I gave up and started a new run.
I watched a video about playing tall and decided to start as Sardinia. I built up my mines and developed my lands, making tons of money. I bought thousands of crossbow men and light horses, and held Sardinia against the mongol empire. After the mongols were extinguished, I conquered the entire north of Africa and colonized it.
My third run I started as the Duke of Barcelona, and my beneficiary became the queen of Jerusalem. I declared holy wars on all of my neighbors and created the Outremere empire as her son, and making that the 1st time I became an emperor.
I decided to retry wales now that I knew more about the game. I started as the same count of morgannwg and built up my lands first. I became the king and even made my own welsh heretic religion based off lollardy. I launched holy wars against Scotland, Ireland, and England, became emperor, and defended my lands from many crusades. One of my vassals had a claim on Bavaria too, so I took it for them.
My Finland campaign was the first time I played a tribal government. I enjoyed having a horde in the very start and conquering all my neighbors. I reformed ukonusko and took much of Scandinavia before giving up.
In my HRE run, I started as the count of kempten in Bavaria, and usurped my liege. Because I was learning about Otto von Bismarck at the time, I developed Bavaria and United the Holy Roman Empire through blood and iron, my empire stretching from Iceland to Abyssinia and Ethiopia.
I began as a Bosnian in Croatia, and grinded to capture lands and get the kingdom of Bosnia. I United the south Slavs and made my own empire of Illyria. I conquered all the Slavic lands to unite the Slavs, and when I did, I went west and took much of Western Europe.
My Roman Empire run, I started as Hæsteinn and became the Duke of Normandy. I eventually took the rest of France from Charles the bald and developed Isle De France, building castles and manor houses on the farmlands. My goal was to restore the Carolingian borders, but the karling succession foiled my plans, by having the king of lotharingia inherit Aquitaine, Italy, Germany, and Bavaria, completely destroying the empire of Francia. I decided that if I couldn’t be the Carolingian empire, I would be the Roman Empire, so instead of taking the Holy Roman Empire, I went to the Byzantine empire and became the basileus, going to war against the HRE and becoming the Roman Empire. This was the longest I’ve ever played a run and my character was stacked, my realm was rich, and my dynasty had over 700 members.
Finally, my sultanate of Rum play through was the first time I ever played a clan government. I started as the Turkish Oghuz-Il and formed a hybrid culture with the Arabs. I conquered much from the Byzantines and became the sultan of Rum. My goal for this was to become the ottoman emperor, but I got bored and ended it.
This game is my favorite game because of the amount of content and I thought to share my runs with you all.
