Conquerors are just annoying

Ever since roads to power came out I’ve had nothing but trouble with conquerors. I just now started a new game as Haraldr “tanglehair” because I wanted to do a Norse sea empire run. And ofcourse Sigurdr snake in the eye gets conqueror two weeks into the game and he wants to conquer my lands. I hate this.

Is my game bugged?

For some reason I cannot build windmills despite having industrious and the required innovations necessary to unlock them, I tried restarting the game and all but nothing works😭

Iberian struggle

So I’m up over 1k hours now playing strictly asatru vikings or Zoroastrian Persians. I’ve always been interested in actually playing in Iberia but the mechanics come off as very annoying compared to other struggle mechanics. I’m a min maxer so I’m really trying to plot out a game plan to finish the Iberian struggle and then go finish the intermezzo so I can get 20k renown. Logically I’m thinking I need to do both as a Muslim faith. Help me twins what would be my most optimal route? I’m leaning tulaytulah to start out personally since it’s the strongest duchy in Iberia imo. But like which sect of Islam and order of tasks should I do to be the most optimal?

Formed Baltic Empire with Prussia 867 start date

Fun, easy ish empire to form, . Converted to Catholicism after about 30-40 years. Held off a few Russian conquerors. Defeated the large Noregr kingdom to secure my last duchy/three counties needed to form empire. Now what should I do?

Norse culture changed?

I can’t find any documentation that it did, but the traditions for Norse changed yesterday for me. I’ve always had northern lords, so not sure my issue.

Did it change for anyone else?

Gameplay idea July 2026

The Return of Cleopatra

My idea is to play a woman of Nubian origin who believes she is Cleopatra and has a divine mission to restore the Kushite empire to Egypt.

Start: county in Syria (Cleopatra went into exile there in her youth)

Coptic faith and Nubian culture

Physical characteristics: all the characters in my dynasty will have white hair (yes, the new season of House of Dragons has just started)

Originally I wanted to start in an administrative Arab empire, but I think it's more interesting to play in its clan-based version (this will be my first game since the DLC).

My first objective is to become more powerful than my overlord, the duke.

Second objective: to become a vassal of the emperor and conquer Egypt

Third objective: to create a hybrid culture with the French (you can choose the culture that you find most interesting).

Fourth objective: conquer the Maghreb empire, the Kush empire (I forgot its name in CK3, but it was the East African empire), the kingdom of Jerusalem, and Syria.

Fifth objective: to try to place my dynasty on several important thrones, to make the Coptic Pope a powerful and independent king-pope

Becoming independent

END

Feel free to share your ideas, or make posts like this to share your ideas

Bonus: my dynasty's coat of arms is a lion holding a christian cross , with a fleur-de-lis tail and a sun in the colors of the French flag.

Is there anyway to customize the route you take when traveling someone to pass all these points of interests or is that in a later update ?

I’ve seen youtubers on pc customize their route to pass through all the special places. How or when can I do that?

Ideas for Norman style playthrough?

I love playing as the Normans though I’m getting a bit bored of the ideas I’m currently playing out. So far I’ve done:

-Norman England/France as Hrolfr

-Creating a custom Hauteville character in 867 and forming Sicily

-Forming Mann then adventuring to Antioch to have a small pirate style playthrough raiding the Greeks and Arabs.

-Taking over the ERE as an adventurer and making my own Latin empire.

-Going back to Scandinavia to spread Christianity.

Does anyone else have suggestion for how I can use them further?

I have the option to add detours while ALREADY on pilgrimage but there doesn’t seem to be way to confirm/save. Just not possible? PS5

So you can go into the travel screen and customize route, and there seems to be a mechanic for this, but either I don’t know how or it’s just not possible, puzzlingly… you can click on “customize route”, places you have already been are greyed out, and places you haven’t been to yet you can add detours. You can also remove detours but there seems no way to confirm the changes.

Overwriting saves not working?

Playing on Xbox Series X. I noticed that when I try to overwrite a save game it doesn't work. It'll say it does but then the old save is still there when I go back to check. I've just been making new saves and deleting the old ones. I didn't notice until I started a save scumming playthrough and lost a lot lol.

Not sure if this is a new bug with the new dlc or something or just my game. I've reset CK3 and my console and its made no difference. Anyone else have this problem?

Genghis just made the Byzantines tribal

For almost 200 years, I was in my own world building up my estate in Athens. I might have been a few decades from taking all of Byzantium. Unfortunately, I was assassinated by another person in the empire and lost my domains because I was 3 years old. Jokes on them, Genghis Khan just dissolved everything. Why’d he have to evict a kid from his lands tho.
