So despite the rest of Asia and China not being on console there’s always been the Han Chinese and 3 Taoist faiths. In 867 there’s a kingdom right here called Guiyi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guiyi_Prefecture which isn’t a de jure kingdom and is there to represent a Chinese military district that existed under the Tang dynasty of China

Unlike a lot of surrounding faiths and the other toaists faiths Zhengyi has no kind of pacifism tenet (its tenets are communion, mendicant preachers, and esotericism) the only downside of the faith is that arrogant and ambitious are sins but it has really interesting virtues. All of the holy sites except for 2 exist within the de jure Tibet empire also

In 867 the faith doesn’t exist on the map yet there’s only some rulers following it so I made a scholar adventurer to start spreading the faith around this area, then once I’m landed or sometime later I’ll make my own Taoist faith

The Han culture is also pretty fun with the traditions family business, mystical ancestors, court eunuchs, philosopher culture, and water rituals. They aren’t as present in the other start dates either as the prefecture dissolved in 1036 historically

Apparently Viking NPCs can still spawn in the 1178 start date

Barcelona is one of my favorite dynasties, it’s a great area for diplomacy as you can get some good vassals and there’s tons of wars to fight in the reconquista
