Is this a framework for a deal at all? Gets some toxic fan relationships out of town.
Portland gets off Jerami's bad money and gets to buy low on Mikal after courting him a few years ago. Maybe it's too low? (I'm a Portland fan) but he obviously is having a terrible playoffs and has long term money.
Knicks almost do an AD to Wiz trade but with Mikal. Cut their losses on a big mistake and get two useful pieces in return, including a stretch four who makes some sense and a nice 6th man.
Grizzlies take on the bad money, but play Presti ball and keep getting unprotected firsts in the door. Magic probably won't be terrible, but they go upside hunting and stay committed to doing their rebuild right. Jerami has two years left so not the longest term commitment of all time akin to what they did with KCP.
